editing software i used:

photoshop,, winmorph, blender.

a collaboration between myself and contemplexitus:

here's his original manipulated still image:

how to enable looping of videos on da:

right mouse click on the full screen video and a popup menu gives the option.

technically, this is how my video clips are intended to be viewed, as playing them just once through is not nearly as effective, or powerful. since the hypnotic effect relies on many repetitions. be warned though. you might lose track of time or experience other side effects.

haha... that is kinda disturbing hehehe..  Peach reads a lot of post-apocalypse novels.  One she read was called Infected.  The storyline surrounded a strange plague and one of the effects it had on people was the infected person(s) pupils became triangular.  The cover of the book had a fairly mediocre illustration of an eye with the triangulated pupil... which I thought was kinda creepy but pales in comparison to this.

he he thanks smooothe. and interesting. i too found this somewhat disturbing, although after working on it for a week or so, i think i got used to contemplexitus's original photo manipulation.

have you seen the psy version yet? that's a little less scary, he he.

:happybounce: Freakin' Amazin'!!!Clap  The mind's eye in continual focal adjustment. Pulsating between the "real life" experiences and those in a different dimension.  Brilliant idea to morph the two realities together!Nod  Thanks soooo much! I am honored. It was a pleasure to work with you, and I wouldn't hesitate to consider future collaborations. Keep up the excellent work!

he he, thanks very much contemplexitus. and i really love that description.

to be honest, i spend so much time just thinking about the technical side of this work, i rarely imagine how people will interpret it until after it is published.

and if i hadn't seen your excellent photoshop work on the original still image, i probably wouldn't of thought of creating an abstract animation like this, so you deserve as much credit as i do, my friend.

considering how well this went, i'm sure we'll be collaborating again in the near future.
